About the Vietnam Veterans Memorial

The Vietnam Veterans Memorial is made of two 246 foot 9 inch long walls each going from 10.1 feet tall to only 8 inches tall. The walls are made of granite, specifically chosen for its reflective surface. The walls have the names of all servicemen who were killed in action or are missing in action from the Vietnam War. as of May 2007, there are 58,261 names listed. The names are listed in chronological order of when the person died.
